<p>I’m working on essays too and I’m not sure if they cut you off like other applications. To be safe, I’d recommend staying under the limit, you don’t want anything to count against you, right?</p>
<p>It has to be less than 1000. If it is even 1001 and you try to submit it online, you will get an error. You may be able to try sending it through paper if it is a little over, but over by 100 words is pushing it.</p>
