US History: 740
Chemistry: 670
SAT score of 1860.
Unweighted GPA of 3.85/weighted is 5.015, top ten of class of ~500.</p>
<p>Are these any good for UVA? Or should I retry?</p>
<p>You’re being silly and you know it. Of course they are. But your SAT I score is on the low end and U-Va cares more about that. Still, with your grades you’re in good shape.</p>
<p>I honestly wasn’t being silly. My school is VERY competitive among its students, and every bit needs to count. I will retake the SAT and still waiting on ACT results. I hear horror stories of people with 1580/1600 not getting in, and I do NOT want to be one of those people. I want every opportunity to maximize my chances of getting in.</p>

<p>UVA is easily the best public university in the NATION. To think you could get in there with a 1200 even if you’re a URM is literally absurd.</p>
<p>The only way they got in with a 1200 is if they took the old SAT. That or they have a building named after their family at the University. I just can’t believe you could get in with a 1200 on the 2400 scale.</p>
<p>Maybe your friend’s friend is part of that ~1% that gets in with the low stats. There is a 1% of UVA that gets in with a 2.9 GPA, so i guess its possible… or maybe a 1200/1600?</p>

<p>I don’t really think the SAT2s play a huge factor. I was admitted OOS with a 2020 on the SAT 1 and then 700 on US history, 700 on math 2, neither of which are particularly high. I wouldn’t worry that much about the SAT 2s.</p>
