Hello everyone!

I'm a new transfer student at Berkeley! My Phase 2 appointment is this upcoming Monday and I'm between 3 different AC courses: MUSIC 26AC, SOCIOL 130AC and GWS 50AC. Which is the best option? Any experience with these classes?

MUSIC 26AC is supposed to be easy, yet boring; 3 hour lecture + 1 hour discussion.= 4 units
SOCIOL 130AC sounds interesting, yet very much like the general sociology class I took in community college; 3 hour lecture, no discussion = 4 units
GWS 50AC should be easy and interesting = 3 hour lecture, no discussion = 3 units.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Maia

How about AMERSTD 101AC?
ESPM 50AC?

Oh boy, they all sound interesting, hence the dilemma.

Do you have any other breadth requirements, or have you fulfilled them (possibly through IGETC)?

If you have other breadth requirements left, check your college and major to see what you need and which of the courses you are interested in fulfill them. Of course, if any also fulfill your major requirements, you may want to consider them.

I took Soc 130AC. Not too difficult, fairly interesting, lax professor. I got an A, so I would recommend it.

Yes, I have already fulfilled my breath requirements and my major prerequisites, so this class need not satisfy any other requirements except for AC.
Apparently most of the classes I was interested in are already full, so I’m left with Sociology 130AC and GWS 50AC.
Any final recommendations?? I would really appreciate some help :)

By the way, what is up with the decal website? It’s been down since Friday at least :(
