Academic dismissal

I was this past fall semester dismissed from my university. There are a lot of reasons I could give but most importantly I just .... Stopped caring. I hated the school and yeah it's all my fault. After having this semester off it REALLY has shown me how important my education is to me. I was wondering if this falling fall if could possibly be admitted to another university. What are my chances?

It depends on how convincing you are. This should include showing that you can do the work and are motivated enough To do it. Perhaps a year at a CC would help.

I’m trying to avoid CC…

I’m just going to list a few ideas that you could use.

Take a year off and do something impressive. What are your interests? Do some community work. Put together an art portfolio of some kind, while traveling.

Attend either a CC or a low selectivity college that is based upon your interests. Again, do some community work, try really hard, etc.

Write a great essay on why you dropped out.

With your record, it is rather hard to get into a competitive college. There are a few great colleges you could try for, such as (if your interest is business) U of Michigan. Don’t be stuck in USA either. You could go for an overseas college, if resources permit. Good luck!

Chance back please?

“I’m trying to avoid CC…”

Why? IMO, this is really probably your best alternative. I’d attend for a year and work hard to try to bring your grades up to an acceptable level which will help show prospective universities that you can do the work and have gotten your act together after the dismissal.

I agree with @justlookingnow. Why are you trying to avoid CC? You can always transfer from CC to college/university of your choice(If you can maintain high GPA/great ECs that is).

I do not want to go to CC because I know I’m capable of more than that. Plus I’m almost done with my core. So idk what classes I’d even be taking
