Hey guys. Last quarter (Fall Quarter) I was short by .1 and I was put on Academic Probation. Now this Quarter (Winter) I might go below again, by a little, because of one of my finals that I think I didn't do too well on.

So does this mean I'm done, and going to get kicked out?

You can go through the appeal process and explain why you did poorly. You better have a plan with you when you meet with the dean if they decided to give you one more chance. They will give you another try, assuming you have a strong case and you can improve dramatically next quarter. If not, sorry dude, you can get kicked out.

I have been there, done that. Now I’m getting back on my feet. I got dismissed from another UC. Seriously, City College is a better route for students that are not ready academically. CC is not that bad, yes you might get look down by fellows. Who cares? At the end of the day, high GPA + work experience (Internships) will get you the job. Where you graduated from have NO IMPACT whatsoever in your job placement in the future UNLESS you are going to Ivy’s. Well, I hate to say things in an absolute way, top/decent schools might contribute little to your future career. However, 10 years down the road, no employers in the world will ask where you graduated from. Most important factor is GPA + Work experience.

Just work hard no matter where you end up.

PM me if you need more help. I know exactly how it feels to have that academic disqualification on student portal…
