Academic History Problem

On Part 1 of Penn State's application, you have to declare which universities you attended. I never attended a class on college campus, but I did get college credit from taking the course at my high school. Should I list the college/college courses?

The course you took at your high school should show up on your transcript. No, you aren’t supposed to put that down as attending another university or college – that’s a place to say “Hey! I went to Slippery Rock for a year” or something like that ;)

Thank you so much! I should still send them the official college transcript right?

If you want Penn State to consider those credits for transfer, you have request (from the college you took the class from) a transcript to be sent directly to the transfer office. There is a widget on the registrar’s page (google PSU transfer credits) that you can plug in the information and see if the credits will transfer. Just because the college gave you credit for the class you took while still in high school doesn’t mean Penn State will. PSU won’t accept a transcript that you send, it has to come directly from the college.
