For one school that I applied to, they asked me why I wanted to attend and what I lloked for in a school. In my answers I talked about my academic interests ? such as politics attracting me to the school. However, my interests have now ? in a yr. ? changed. Do I have to purse the interest that I put down on my application in college. Or is it okay that I changed my mind? I do not want to get in trouble by the college.

Many kids change there major many times over their college career, so it's not at all unusual. I'm wondering though if you applied for a certain school under a specific major? If you did that and no have no intentions of pursuing that major I would contact your guidance person for direction on what to do.

That's okay. You showed them that you were of a high intellectual caliber by having an academic interest at all. If you have a different academic interest now, that's perfectly fine. If you enroll in the school and start signing up for classes, they aren't going to look at your application essays and say, "Hey, you can't take that class! Take the polsci class instead, or we'll give you the boot."

Besides, you're young. It's healthy and very desirable that young people should explore different interests and see what works for them. Colleges understand that.
