I’m curious, does being on academic probation affect one’s pell grant eligibility? I hear mixed answers all over the web so I’m wondering what y’all think.
Your school has specific SAP requirements that you need to fulfill in order to get any financial aid. Talk to your FA office about what those requirements are. But usually a first time an Acc Pro does not invalidate FA.
SAP requirements vary by school, you can often find your school SAP policies in the online student handbook. If you do not fill SAP requirements then you will not get federal aid for the following semester until you are back in compliance. That is a federal rule.
Elsewhere you say these were dual enrollment classes you failed and I don’t know how that is treated. You weren’t getting federal student aid for that, right? You should talk to the counsellor at your high school to see how this works. He may not know though. Will you be applying to a different college for freshman year? And will you be seeding federal aid?
Thanks guys. The financial aid office at the cc I’ll be going to told me that It won’t affect my aid for the first semester I use the aid but it’ll be suspended for the second. My plan is to retake those classes in the summer and pay out of pocket so I can use the finaid during the fall semester and get my GPA up.
