Academic probation

I am a first year student, recently graduated from high school. I failed all 4 classes my first term, and got a 3.0 semester GPA. That means my total GPA is 1.44, which is not quite enough to reach Satisfactory Academic Performance. So now I'm on probation. I enrolled in fall classes, and don't want to take summer classes, but my question is should I? I'm assuming that I have to perform well next term in order to keep my FAID, or does it mean that I have to take summer courses to get FAID for fall term? Also, should I retake all of the classes I failed? I'm only retaking two (they're requirements.)

I think you posted in wrong forum.

Actually, I think this the right forum, because one issue is how does OP keep financial aid. I do not understand how OP failed 4 courses and received a 3.0 GPA. I dont think that is correct - maybe typo. With cum GPA of 1.44, that is not meeting SAP.

I think OP need to contact his/her school, whether he/she is in “Financial Aid Warning” or not.

Actually this is the correct forum. SAP does impact Finaid. You need to call the finaid office to discuss if you have financial need what will happen in the fall.
