Academic Renewal for Private Schools

Hey, I'm at a California community college and I'm applying to transfer to a 4-year next year. I'm trying to decide whether I will apply to any private schools, but I'm wondering if any of them honor academic renewal. With academic renewal my GPA is 4.0, but without it it would be really, really low. So obviously there would only be a point in applying if they accept it. I have contacted individual schools and I'm waiting for a reply, but I'm curious if in general any private schools recognize it at all. It's not that big a deal because I will probably end up going to a University of California campus anyways, which all accept academic renewal, but I would like to at least apply to some private schools if possible. I know this is something that would be difficult for someone on this site to answer, but maybe someone has some experience with this. Like I said, I'm contacting individual schools to ask, but it will take a while to contact and hear back from every school I might possibly be interested in. If they honor academic renewal, some of the schools I would potentially apply to are Claremont McKenna and Stanford and maybe some east coast schools, as well as some less selective schools. I know my chances at some of these schools would be slim even if they recognize academic renewal, but I would still like to try just for the sake of trying. Thank you!
