Does anyone know about how many people are in the academic scholars program? If I got admitted to the FSB scholars does that almost guarantee me a large merit scholarship?

The university hopes to have about 200 in the UASP program out of the freshman class. These students also get consideration for ten available Stamp scholarships. These scholarship offers them more opportunities and a $10,000 stipend for research and study abroad. The UASP and Stamp scholarships are in addition to the automatic scholarships given for high GPA and ACT scores. My son received his UASP letter today.

My son is a freshman at Miami this year and is a Scholar. He did get a full tuition in-state academic scholarship. The Scholars stipend is an additional 2,000 per year. So yes, I would imagine if you have the stats to be named a FSB Scholar you would get a very large merit package.
