Academic Setback?

The schools I plan to apply to are very competitive and reccomend taking 4 years of one language. However, due to an illness/move the summer before freshman year (a story way too long to explain), I was unable to take a foreign language freshman year. So, I will only be able to complete 3 years of French. However, I am a very competitive student and have a very demanding course load (almost all APs). I have doubled up in math and science to take advantage of all advanced classes that are available. My ecs are also good. This is not much to base off of, but will colleges really be critical of this flaw? Or will it not affect my chances all that much? Thank you!

It won’t affect you much. If you explain the situation it won’t affect your at all. Even if you don’t, no need to worry.
