<p>Well, I'm finishing my essay and it pretty much talks about how I excelled from a poor dropout to a shining success. is that kind of story too generic? i took a look at it and it was very personal and emotional with what i went through.</p>
<p>also, if that topic is acceptable, would it be alright to talk about it in two different aspects? i talk about one with academics and another one with learning to play the guitar.</p>
<p>I think it sounds amazing, especially if it’s as personal as you say it is. Something that is so significant in your life definitely deserves to be written about. Showing both the academic and guitar-playing aspects would also be a great insight into who you are. If it’s something you’re passionate about that has truly affected you, it’s not a generic essay.</p>
<p>yes, i think that would be an interesting topic because there is nothing more american or inspiring than the idea of someone overcoming obstacles in pursuit of some dream.</p>
