I play guitar, bass guitar, piano, and a little bit of drums.

And I speak three languages. English, Spanish, and Redneck. You pick up the spanish and redneck pretty quick working in tobacco fields.

See? I'm good aren't I? I knew it! I was gonna ask if you spoke Redneck cause I already knew you spoke Spanish. English? not so much right?
Regardless, so you had a nice suggestion for me on the other thread at UNC, thanks.
OK, I'm tired. G'night.

how did you already know I spoke spanish. english...ehh...just a little bit better than you. so you're right, not so much.

I see things most people need eyeglasses to see. Spanish is not only a language it is a wisdom. So, because you have given some wise advise on this forum you have to have been either taught by latinos/as or actually been one yourself and because you admit to speaking redneck also you have to have been taught by them. There is no such thing as a spanish redneck.
BTW, Don't sell yourself short on the English thing. You aren't as bad as you think, as far as you know.

"ahduke, grades are all relative. I have a schedule that is harder than probably the majority of the students on here. 1270 is in the lower end of the middle 50%. You may have had more ECs but trust me mine were very good ECs that I stuck with all 4 years. AND, I don't think any of you worked 30 hours per week in addition to an already time consuming schedule and ECs that take 15-20 hours per week. I could have not worked, not done ECs, and not had friends and left with a 4.0 GPA and my SAT could have been higher, trust me. I AM smarter than that, but there are only 24 hours per day and I chose how to allocate my time. This shows that Wake Forest knows how to review applicants holistically. Also my essays were beyond excellent. Thinking back about what I wrote, there is no way than an admissions committee could not like it.

And I did take the SAT sophmore year so I could do a lot better now but I just didn't have the time. Until I came to CC I was under the impression that 590 CR 680 M was not a bad score. But I guess I just pale in comparison to you robots."

Glad to see you're modest. I won't take the time to explain my stats or anything because I know it won't matter to you. Last year I didn't see anyone get in with an SAT under 1300 on this forum. Maybe this year the SATs are lower than they were in the past.

FWIW, I didn't work 30 hours a week. I would not have been able to make it through my high school, but that's impressive. I was told wake didn't factor any working experience into their decisions by more than one person, but UNC did. I have worked 40 hours a week for the past three summers.

They called me when I was asleep.
I was so stoked. I was half awake and everything.
and im an URM (Asian)

i had rather average test scores.
I think the interview / essay did it for me. let my personalitayyy shine = P

and i'll be going to the MOSAIC event. the second one.
