Admission results overphone???

Does anyone successfully got their admission result over phone??

Seriously...

Which schools are they?

i heard both cornell and georgetown over the phone

Acceptance or rejection? It just seems a tad uncomfortable to have to call the applicant and tell them, "Well, we appreciate your interest in University X, BUT...?"

acceptance!

I called Georgetown several times and last time i called they asked me to email them, I don't know that's just crazy...

This lady at Oberlin didn't want to disclose it, but sounded much friendlier after looking my status up so that's good enough for me, haha.

I got my Cornell acceptance over the phone

Son called JHU last year when June arrived and no decision yet. Was told his acceptance over the phone.

has anyone gotten a rejection over the phone? I feel like that would be incredibly awkward...but as I'm going to get a decision by phone from tufts tomorrow, I don't want to get my hopes up...

I heard my Vandy decision over the phone, but they won't do it until the monday after the letters were sent, so it only works if you have horrible mail or live in Alaska or something, lol.
Mal :)

Superman 123, Grant15, TransferMal, or anyone who has heard their admission decision over the phone, did the schools contact you through your cell or home phone? Which device are they likely to call?

I just received a message today from a close friend here on CC that his daughter got a message via cellphone that she was accepted off the waitlist at WUSL (she had already given her acceptance to Univ of Rochester, where she was offered $32K).

They gave her exactly 24 hours to accept or decline (oh, and they offered no money).

Seems weird to me, but what do I know?

seems cocky.

I got a call on my cell phone (it was listed on my common app)

I got my Smith acceptance over the phone. A lady called me and had this grave tone, so I was scared that something was missing. I called back and she told me I had gotten in. Yay.
