Acceptance for 2019 class

Washington State University reg dec acceptance

What about it?

lol I don’t remember!

Could someone please translate that OP?

My daughter was accepted to WSU, but we’re still waiting on her number 1 choice.

@LadyArwyn‌ do you have any questions about WSU?

Where can I go to see WSU grads with CS degree job placement rate is and what kinds of jobs they have been offered

Also, what is the quietest most boring dorm on campus? Where do the book geeks hang out?

@IsItOverYetMom‌ I have very little knowledge of the CS program. I’d get in touch with the department for stats like that.
@LadyArwyn‌ There’s Honors Hall, which is where a lot of honors students live, but it’s very small and fills up quick. Scott-Coman is designated as a “scholars hall” and it has longer quiet hours than a typical hall. The “STEM Hall” is Stephenson Towers, but it’s also a HUGE community, so it’s doesn’t have an academic vibe at all.

My oldest was in Stephenson last year, and his fall semester floor was very quiet to the point of being anti-social. He moved to another Stephenson floor over Christmas break that was much more social, but, as most are freshman and would be kicked out for alcohol, there are close to zero actual parties in dorm rooms. They tried to organize alcohol-free parties in the basement room as an alternative to the greek row binge-fests, but they were lightly attended and shut down early.

D is a somewhat nerdy non-drinking freshman living in Goldsworthy, another predominantly freshman dorm. Many girls on her floor joined sororities, busy with sorority stuff on the weekends. D still found a good group of friends like her. She will be in the very quiet Honors Hall next year, more for location than for social life. It fills up by Feb. 1 every year. Stevens (all female) would be a good choice for more academic types and was D’s second choice. Scott-Coman, the Scholars’ Hall, is another. Apply now if you want to have a chance at it.

Most of the issues with dorm life have to do with inconsiderate roommates, not so much with loud hall parties.

She’s going to apply to the all-women’s halls. She says she’d rather deal with cattiness than annoying males.
