So...I skipped sports today to sign up for dorms at exactly 4 pm. What did you all sign up for/will sign up for? And, to any current students, do most honors students get in the honors dorms? This year it's Lander or McMahon (that have honors floors), but Lander is all freshman...does this mean all freshmen end up in Lander?

Also, why is McMahon 18+? And in McMahon, since it's done in clusters, does that mean each cluster is honors, or the whole floor?

I probably should have asked this before I filled out the app...but yeah...

I have a question, if for the moment I apply for housing I’m 17, but then for the moment I move in to the residence I’m already 18, will I still able to live in Stevens Courts o McMahon?

Thanks m62442 for drawing my attention to the fact that honors housing for the coming year will be in McMahon instead of McCarty. I placed the deposit soon after 4 pm today.

Ok im not technically a student yet but u have been accepted and when i went and visited the campus i got that McMahon is 18+ because it has balconies and apparently 17yr olds cant handle that or something i dont know. But i do know that you at least have to be 18 by the time you would move into your dorm to live there, sorry but i dont know as much about the honors aspect of it but from what i got from it i think its the entire floor but check on that cause again, im not sure. I know not all freshman end up in Lander they only designed it all freshmen so kids can get to know each other because they’re all in the same situation but its only an option you dont necessarily have to live there if you dont want to.

dariop: If you are 18 when it’s time to move in then you can be assigned mcmahon. However, from what my brother said, who lives in Steven’s Court right now, there are 0 freshman in steven’s court currently (that he knows of).

from what I gathered at the honors info session, almost all honors freshman will live in Lander. They definitely were not trying to get anyone’s hopes up for McMahon honors.
