Oh your not alone, wheres my letter? :(
I'm over in Loudoun, when's the latest we should expect it before we call admissions?

I'd call tomorrow guys. A week is generally enough time for a letter (3-7 business days is acceptable). Especially for NoVa. By the time Monday rolls around, you'll have lost a full week of April to arrange stuff, and even if they send it out tomorrow, you might not get it till next week anyways. Then again, you may call and they may say wait until Monday. But it never hurts to call, especially since it might be a great break from the standard "wwhhhyyyy did my little johnny not get accepted, moanmoanmoan" from some unhappy mom.

My D emailed the admission office and she was told to wait until April 12. After that she should call the office, and they will resend the package.

Yesterday she got a "welcome email" from UVA.

I live near bln and couger and mine came on Monday. I was sure you would have it by now.

I am willing to scan in the reply and transcript forms and email them to you if it helps at all, just PM me.

April 12th?!? That's a Saturday, so you'd have to wait till Monday to call, then you wouldn't get it until the end of that week probably. That's insane. Maybe it's time the parent steps in and at least tries to get the crucial forms. Trust me, you don't want that stuff rolling in a week out from May 1st, because feelings get mixed up when you start to write out your name and signature on a college acceptance form...

Thank you vistany and shoebax10,

It's unbelievable! Someone just knocked on our front door and gave me the vanilla envelope with "Admitted Students' Programs in April" in the back! I'm sure it has the acceptance letter in it, but I'll let my D open it! She is at school right now, taking exams!

The mail was delivered to the wrong address ! And the man was sorry for not forwarding it to us sooner!

haha to make it even more special, you should take her out to lunch and give it to her. :) I would absolutely love it if my parents would do that and I would be in the best mood all day. From your posts, it seems that your daughter is worrying about this so I would put her msiery to an end a few hours early.

Great news bln! It nice to know you were accepted, but there is something about getting your lunch hooks on that fancy letterhead to make it seem completely real.

Congrats!

Glad to hear!

For any others out there without letters, I'd at least call the office at UVA and just ask them if you could get a copy of the forms you're required to send in by May 1st. Again, it's a big deal to sit down and fill it out, especially if someone is on the fence completely about two schools.

I got a letter from the UVA president, mailed April 4th, and that arrived today. My letter has got to be lost. That's a good idea shoebox, I'll do that.

none of us from China has gotten it yet...
and is there another letter for Echols, or is it just the e-mail?

my friend and i (in pa) have still not received the acceptance letter either.. despite online acceptance..weird!

I'm telling you, the CVL mail system is notoriously slow. This does not surprise me at all! Hang in there. I didn't believe how slow until I got here.

acceptance letter hasn't arrived here either!.... (here=Kuwait)

i still didn't get mine..did any international get his yet??..im worried :s

bump......
