I was just at NYU yesterday for a class trip (strange, I know), and the admissions director said that letters were mailed 3/27/09.

For those of us who applied to the brand-new BPE program, I was told that the response was overwhelming and that the admissions rate was in the single digits. He said that they wanted to accept about 75 students, but that they ended up offering admissions to over 75.

Hey, I applied regular decision, got into the Liberal Studies program and I recieved my admissions package today. It was a big envelope with a couple booklets and my financial aid package as well. I wish you guys luck! I hope I see you all next year.

Did he give a number for how many applicants? and if they gave over 75 acceptances, that must mean over 500 people must have applied, just to have an acceptance rate in the single digits…man im nervous now…lol

I got mine today. I live in PA. From what I’ve heard about NYU financial aid, I think I did okay? I got about $31,000 in grants and scholarships and then $5,000 in Stafford loans, and $17,000 in PLUS loans. But they let you use any of your outside scholarships to knock down your loans, correct? Because I’m up for quite a few scholarships…

I think so. I kind of jumped right to the financial aid because that was all I cared about. I didn’t take the time to look at the multitude of stuff they sent. I didn’t even read the letter of acceptance. But yes, I do recall seeing invites to the April events.

Edit: Ohhhhhh, and yeah, I got likely letters. I was actually admitted into LSP way back in February.
