Acceptance letters?

It isn't exactly that time of year yet for anyone who isn't currently attending, but I was just browsing through college admission's 'Best/Worst Admission/Rejection Letters' thread, and it's really interesting!

Can anyone who got accepted/denied to any school share what the actually letter looked like and said? Was the acceptance letter just as big and fat as it's made out to be, did it come with anything etc. etc. And also, what school was it from?

My acceptance letter looked a bit fat but my rejection letter was online. Also in my acceptance letter, there was a whole bunch of sparkley things fell out from the letter. What schools are you applying to?

Exeter, Andover, and maybe a couple others - but those are my big ones.

Oh, and also, what school was that acceptance letter from? And the rejection one...

hey walden4000's letters sound really interesting... can you post a picture of them? lol

My acceptance was from MPS and the rejection from SPS. I can't post the rejection letter because it was online but I'll try to post the acceptance letter. I have to tell you that all the sparkles are gone. Good luck on applications everyone!

sparkles are gone? haha that's what intrigue me the most...

Yeah they got every where so I had to vacuum them up. haha they were just generic sparkles though, nothing special :) haha

LOL!!! at the sparkeling things. My DD's pre k acceptance letter was also full of glittery confetti.

It's totally worth working hard to get in for the sparklies.

I hear that last year Emma Willard mailed accepted applicants inflated balloons in big boxes.

:D That's awesome! Did it come with a letter?

I'd assume so. I wasn't the addressee as I'm a guy, but I would still like to get a balloon in a box as an acceptance :-)

Me too. What other schools have fun acceptance letters?

Wouldn't it be just hysterical if they sent a big balloon with a sad face and a rejection letter? That would be a "fun" rejection letter....right? :) :( :) :(

Yeah, it would be better than "You have been rejected... Sorry."

Lol I'll take the "You have been rejected"...short and quick. You throw out that letter...forget everything about that school and move on to the next package or letter lol.

Agreed Mpicz

I never knew there was such an acceptance letter other than a note saying "you have been accepted" and then random info about the school
