Pierre, my S is IS and has a 1220 SAT (math and verbal) and is top 11% at one of the better public high schools in South Carolina. He applied August 3rd and wants to major in business. Some of his friends have received acceptance letters recently with some scholarship money. A few posts ago someone from a nearby school reported that kids at her child’s school were hearing but the thought that it was an alphabetical response rather than top kids being offered money. Could my son hear before 2/15 without money being offered? Thanks!

in the past the admissions letters have gone out around February 15th so don’t expect to hear from them until then! (could be different this year but for you and your son’s sanity, just assume it’s as they’ve always done it haha)

I highly doubt the response is alphabetical though.

Thanks, Pierre!

I applied to Clemson before December 1st and still have not got a letter in the mail about my acceptance. Is anybody else in my situation? Wasn’t the notification date the 15th?

Notification is Feb 15th.

That is what I thought. Can you view online or do they only mail it out?

the official notification date is February 15th though it may be a few days before that (around that date let’s just say). They mail decisions out so people from SC will probably hear a few days before you get it in the mail if you are out of state. Unfortunately not much stuff at Clemson with the admissions office outside of the application is online.

My son received his acceptance today with the academic scholarship. We are thrilled. Bio program. From Massachusetts.

what were his stats. we are still waiting in california

Got my acceptance letter yesterday. I’m an instate student.

My sons letter was dated Jan 6th. OOS. Was surprised as I thought the date was Feb 15th.

We are still waiting in San Francisco as well.

You will hear before Feb 15th if you get one of the larger scholarships that Clemson offers

Does anyone know the decision options for Feb 15th notification? Will some kids get deferred and looked at again when they have the semester grades? Or is it only accepted or denied???

hmm I’m not sure that I’ve ever heard anyone that has been deferred (could be wrong) so I think it is just yes or no. If they are borderline, they will be offered the “Bridge To Clemson” program where you spend one year at a local community college and then transfer into Clemson your sophomore year.

Good news for my son today! Pierre, thanks for your input. See you next year.

congrats!! welcome to the Clemson family!

Ha! I’m sure that’s why we have not heard yet! :-/
