I have 4’s and 5’s on my AP exams, 790 SAT chemistry, 770 Math II, 4.67 GPA, and a bunch of service hours and stuff. My overall SAT is 2090, but I have a 710 in math. Will I have a higher chance of acceptance to a college like Stanford if I apply for chemistry or chemical engineering? Or does it even matter?

However, presumably, you will apply to some other colleges, since Stanford is extremely difficult to be admitted to. Some other schools may admit by major or division (check their web sites). If a major or division is more selective for frosh admission, there is probably a selective admission process to change into the major or division if you enroll at the school in a different major or division, or undeclared. So apply for the major you most want to study. Some schools allow you to indicate a second choice major if the second choice major is acceptable to you if you are not admitted to your first choice major.
Thank you
