The coursework my senior year differs from what I put in my application. I had health problems so I took online classes, and I finished one every 3 weeks. My counselor convinced me to take courses that were different from what I put in my application for my first semester. For the second semester, I was able to attend school on campus, and was unable to enter some classes that I had as planned because there were no spots available. I tried reporting these changes once I was 100% sure that I got into my classes on-campus via email to cal poly slo, but they told me they didn’t accept any changes at the time. Will this get my acceptance rescinded?
@steve760, do the changes affect courses used for rigor points or admissions requirements? If not, my guess is that it won’t matter, but I suggest contacting the admissions office again to explain the situation.
I agree with @berkeleymom4: SLO will be comparing your self-reported courses with your final transcript so make sure they have a note attached to your application explaining the course changes. Save all documentation such as emails, phone #'s and names of contacts just in case.
You might want to consider looping in your college counselor/college counselor (whatever they’re called at your school), too. Sometimes they can be proactive and inform the college for the student.
Yeah, I just explained my situation to them via email, and the courses didn’t change in rigor. Hopefully it won’'t affect my decision.
Honestly, I don’t know of anyone who got rescinded even with a low grade. By the time they see the transcripts (July?) it is pretty late to cancel you. I would call but also not worry.
