Today I received a letter from Muhlenberg College letting me know I got wait listed. I am not going to lie, I was completely shocked. I honestly thought I would be accepted. Looking at statistics, I am around the 75% percentile of SAT Scores (1960) and I am ranked Top 5% of my class. I am also involved in many sports and activities. I am assuming maybe my essay wasn’t strong enough.

I was especially shocked because I was admitted into The College of New Jersey, which has somewhat higher SAT standards and a similar acceptance rate.

Good luck to the rest of the applicants!

i received an acceptance letter two weeks ago $14,000 merit scholarship.

good luck to everyone else!

Congrats to everyone who got accepted!!!
I got my aid a day or so after I got my letter (though my letter was received late). I got 18000 presidental scholarship, plus Muhlenberg Scholar, talent, and a grant. I’m incredibly grateful for my aid, considering that if it were even a couple thousand more, my family would not be able to afford it. Especially since I’m going to be in Cambridge for a Shakespeare program this summer, so tuition really adds up!
Aid really does depend on when you apply and whether or not you are RD or ED, but they seem to try to meet aid best they can.

I saw someone is from Minnesota on here, that’s so exciting!! I was almost afraid I’d be the only Midwestern student haha!

Hi everyone,

I’m an international student inrerested in Muhlenberg College and I’m going to apply for the college class of 2018, major business. A bit off topic but I wanna ask: if my estimated family contribution is around $5000 or $6000, will there be any chance for me to get accapted? Since Muhlenberg is need-aware, I’m really worried that finance is my biggest trouble.

Toonies, it will depend what you are bringing to Muhlenberg College. Besides being an international student what do you have to offer? Do you play sports, act, sing, edit the school paper? What extras besides good grades are on your application? Leadership activities? Muhlenberg really seems to value the “whole student” and if you have enough extras your families efc can be overcome. Best of luck to you!

good luck to all of you on the start of a new chapter in your life!
enjoy!
