I'd say no....it is still relatively early, and with their apparent occupied state, they will probably need some more time.

cuz u mich has a better reputation... and i want to go for business

if it is posted today, what time do u think it will happen?

This link should answer some questions about what's cooking at the admissions office:

Early next week? Does that mean the whole friday admission thing is out of whack?

Wow, thank you so much for the article!
Yay for...knowing what's going on.
=)

Ugh...only a couple more days...I was REALLY REALLY hoping it would be today though.

Hearing that the 1st batch of decisions will be coming out soon, I have a question. Are rejection letters sent out too? Or do they wait until a certain date to do so.

And they said early next week, which means decisions are probably going to be made a little more frequently than fridays!

Check the mail like rabid weasels!

Generally, a very, very small number of people are rejected upon first review. You have to have very low SAT/GPA to get rejected without a deferral. If you are borderline you will most likely get deferred.

I"M SCARED :*(. Though I really do hope I'm in the first batch cause if I get in, then I will probably drop all the college apps I'm working on now cause UMich is PROBABLY my first choice :P

I know what you mean about being scared zkevin.

I'm a returning student and I've got 3 kids so I'm hoping to avoid moving OOS, and UofM is the only Uni in the state that has such a great range of psychology courses and a comparative lit program (the two things I want to double major in). I've got a 4.0 at a community college but my courses haven't been over the top rigorous (mostly humanities, social science, art and language courses) and I never took SAT's or ACT's. If I can't get in I'm not sure what my next step will be..... I mean what can a transfer student do beyond a 4.0 :-p If I don't get in I'll probably have to accept a much lower program elsewhere. I'm checking compulsively, but quite frankly looking at the stats of all these young people applying I'm not holding out much hope.

They said that they'll be where they were at this time last year... so maybe we can use some comparison, but any ideas what the first batch will include? I applied late-early. September 21st...

are we thinking either Monday or Tuesday?

My friend last year with a 3.5 and 32 ACT applied late sept, was accepted late oct. His app was complete about mid-oct. And he was in the 2nd wave of acceptances.

zkevin: they reveiw after the app is complete. So applying late sept. wont help unless it was complete.

Would I still be in the first batch of decision if I submitted my application on October 20th???:)

well if it was complete by that date i would suppose so.

Well, everything was into their office by that time so I would assume so, but I have yet to receive my UMID.

Well, I think that if you got a UMID then you will be in the 1st batch. This sense becuase they article said early next week.
