Acceptance to LBW - Leadership in the Business World

I thought everyone knew by know..

Getting a head start & getting rejections as a jr...

3.7UW, 4.2W, top 5%
2070 new SAT (790M/600R/680W)

My essay was phenomenal too...

Those stats aren't phenomenal. I just thought I was borderline & I wrote about 10 drafts of my essay.

Believe me I'm sure better kids got in.

S got the rejection letter today. You aren't alone, Stam.

3.9 UW, 2350 new SAT (1550 old), multiple 750+ SAT II's, 4 AP's taken already (AP Scholar w/distinction?), good essay + recs...but I guess I should have applied earlier in the application process rather than the day before the deadline.

Has anyone received a packet of information for LBW?

They said in the acceptance letter that we would be getting information about travel arrangements, accomodations, etc. but I never received anything...

I have not gotten anything from then. I sent an email asking about it, but they never responded.

I called Krinsky last week and they said they were not going to send out info until Wharton selected everyone- but they said it should be pretty soon.

i thought it was j krinsky camps that did the admissions selections - are you sure it's actually wharton?

The letterhead on the acceptance letter is from Wharton(LBW). Krinksy camps told me that they were waiting for Wharton to finish admission selection. It seems to me that Krinksy has no say in who would be in the program.

Wharton does the selections. That's what they told me when I called them.

Wharton does the selecting, Krinsky does the management of the program logistics (activities, registration etc.) Wharton told me the delay was because they want 30 boys/30 girls and there were not enough girl apps and way too many boys. So-if you were a female you were in, but they really want to keep it even. Plus-even after they admit, they don't know who will actually accept and come. Gets a little complicated.

I applied, got in, but am going to NHSI Journalism at Northwestern, so that's one open space, but for a girl.

Momofwildchild is right. Julian Krinsky does this management thing for several programs. I went to their golf/tennis camp and they do a good job. Can anyone confirm if letters are still being sent out or not?

Hey everyone! I just found this thread, and I got accepted into LBW around a month ago and am attending. I hope that LBW will help me see if I want to major in business/economics in college. I'm very excited! haha

Ohhh, now I wish I was going to LBW instead of NHSI!

how come britchic?

It sounds like a lot of fun! Not that NHSI won't be but I haven't met anyone going there. Plus Penn is so close to NY. I love the city.

LBW goes to NYU for a few days I think (I was rejected though)

Did anyone call there to find out why they were rejected? Does anyone know who to call? (I assume you don't call the Julian Krinsky number?)

you would call to find out why, isnt that i dont know a little intruding and pestering
