If a student got into USC with no mention of a scholarship, does that mean they are out of the running for a scholarship? I'm so confused.

thanks!

I’m also wondering this… I’m strongly thinking this is the case.

They are very likely to receive the Dean’s scholarship (was the case last year) for which there is no interview. If so, the letter will come in the next week or so if it follows last year’s pattern. Congratulations.

My D got her acceptance packet without any scholarship mention today. She is happy because it is her “dream school” but since she knows she already has a full tuition scholarship elsewhere and several other large scholarships at some other colleges, USC will probably have to remain just a dream. At least she got the acceptance!

jokahugo,

Would your family qualify for financial aid? If you feel your family qualifies, the package may equal scholarships from other colleges.

Dean’s scholarship recipients have not been notified as of today’s date.

What about USC associates scholarship? Is that the same as well?

No, we will not qualify for much, if any at all, FA - I’ve already done the FAFSA and the EFC actually makes me laugh because it is so far out of touch with our reality - even my D laughed when I told her the number. The Deans scholarship is nice but it still won’t make it affordable for us. Regardless, we are still very happy just with the acceptance - D put on her USC shirt right after getting the packet :-).

What were your stats for GPA and standardized tests, having not received any scholarships?
