Do colleges ever withdraw their acceptance after they receive the IB results in june/july?

Our coordinator said no. My school basically requires the seniors to send them and gives them envelopes to address before the test.

I don't see how they can, they didn't admit you on the strength of your IB scores or anything.

Actually, they take predicted IB scores. I don't know how much it accounts for, though.

Is that true for American universities too? I don't know anyone who sent predicted scores, although you probably can. I know people send junior AP scores sometimes, but you usually don't take many IB exams junior year. I heard that you shouldn't send the junior AP exams to admissions unless they're a 4 or 5 though. The way I've heard it is that they take it into account if it helps you or something...kind of like how some schools make SAT IIs optional and say they'll use them if they help you. They understand that some schools have better programs than others so they don't want penalize people who might not have the best resources available, so the grades you get in the class and the classes you take in the context of your school are more important.
