acceptances letters.. big or small?

are the acceptances letters generally huge packets are more of a small letter with a huge packet following?

It is my understanding (and experience) that acceptance letters come in large envelopes with a lot of other forms. Waitlist and rejection letters are usually usually sent solo, and thus in a much smaller envelope.

my acceptance was in a small square envelope - the big one came later. So don’t get your hopes down if the letter is small!

frosty6 what school was the acceptence letter from?

miss porter’s

In this electronic age, don’t you get an email or know by checking your account first?

Rad-in-Plaid96 - do you go there?

Some schools don’t send e-mails unless its been a couple weeks and your letter still hasnt come.

no, i just read your other posts and i thought i’d speed up traffic.
its way too slow today and not at all good for my procrastinating. :P

Acceptance package arrived via FedEx. Rejection via email (followed by a snail mail letter). Waitlisted information was found online (followed by a snail mail letter). Be prepared for a range of emotions on March 10th. Good luck to all of the applicants.

Tell me about it. A heads-up: I believe Exeter’s decision is available online at 6am on March 10. That’s probably the first decision you will find out that day. Enjoy the ride!

i am inferring from the varied responses that it really depends on the school. I know Lawrenceville’s acceptance letter was small, with a packet following.

Is Andover the only school that sends acceptances Fedex, or do others schools send acceptances in the mail to get there on the 10th as well?

Does anyone know how PA, Choate, give their decisions? are they online or just by mail?

I think Choate posts their decisions online, maybe later in the day (afternoon?).

Choate is too ‘online’ for me. I like paper documents more. feels more…real.

This is Fedex Lina. Good Luck in your futue endeavors.Thank you for your business. Have a wonderful week!

I got my Exeter rejection in a big envelope, although it came with a big packet of information about their summer school.

Just thought I’d organize it… :)

Miss Porter’s - Small envelope, big one later
Lawrencville - Small envelope, big one later
Exeter - Online 6am, I’m guessing acceptances are in big packages
Choate - Online ?
Andover - ?
Anything else?

Can you get the acceptance/rejection info from your application status account on March 10th?
