Acceptances!

The email said offices would be open on Tuesday. Hopefully I will find out just so we can try to start planning . Thanks for info

It just goes from one stress to the next, doesn’t it? Keep us posted, @NewYorkSon!

I will and yes it does from per screen to audition day to hoping for an acceptance then how are we going to pay for it and then the dropping them off. Wow what a ride !!!

So… my S just found out he was accepted … checked the webportal this morning and it stated you have been accepted since March 4th. The last time he checked was on March 7th and this notification was not up… and he auditioned at NY unifieds… Needless to say he is thrilled :)

Congratulations Inspired59 and S. My S said he was accepted since March 3rd and wasnt online until March 7th. So exciting!!!

Thanks and congrats to your S too NewYorkSon… have you received anything on the mail?

Yes just got an acceptance letter and a form to fill out and return with payment

D portal still alive but no change…says they have everything, including MT audition. What in the heck does this mean? Is she still being considered? Or have
they lost her her? Or will she float into the abyss? Does anyone have any insight? Now being March 11 seems
like something should have happened. Waiting and not knowing is hard!

thewait22 I would take it she is still alive. Hang in there you will find out soon!!!

@thewait22 – last year both acceptances and rejections came all the way into April. The wait is horrible, but as long as you don’t hear anything, your child is still being considered.

FYI, the Ithaca senior showcase in New York City was March 10th, and I heard attendance by industry professionals was huge. According to the grapevine, ALL the Ithaca graduating seniors now have agents.

That is awesome news!!!

@prodesse, that doesn’t surprise me at all! We drove out to see IC’s production of Into the Woods in November, and everyone in the cast was ready for Broadway, especially the seniors. Amazing training on display.

WOW, @prodesse – I’m so glad you posted that. Thank you!

My son (Ithaca MT freshman) is home for spring break. I told him what I had heard and he said the same thing as maMTma, that he wasn’t at all surprised. It’s great to see that the freshman are in awe of the abilities of the seniors, that’s how it should be. The freshmen all have seniors as mentors.

Prodesse how does your son like it? Was it an easy transition?

He loves it, but nothing is “easy” about being a Musical Theater major at Ithaca! He has never worked so hard in his life! Finding time to eat, sleep, and bathe? Forget it! My advice to entering MT freshmen guys is, bring a lot of dance belts. (Don’t ask me what that is. I will allow you the joy of discovery.)

LOL I know about the dance belt he owns one so we will have to get more.

floating in the abyss floating floating :-S

We are right there with you!! I wish we knew what it meant or if all acceptances are out there.
