who has the lowest SAT I score and still got accepted???

I was accepted with a 1390. My average sat II was 760.

I too was accepted with a 1390. My SAT IIs were lower than yours though - 740 M-Biology, 690 Lit, and 620 Writing. I'm not a recruit, legacy, or ethnic minority either.

Oh, you can get lower than that.

wt.f is going on
are we talking about the right college

I'm sure there are one or two with sub-1000 or at least sub-1100 SAT scores.

"are we talking about the right college" - Harvard College? The Ivy League undergraduate school?

...I'm sure there are people admitted with far lower scores than mine, most of whom I guess will be recruits, or those who's application made up for perhaps a poor test day.

Who cares? The fact remains that we all got into Harvard.

what about your grades and ec's?

deathhammer... not all of us. lol

I think someone posted a news article once about a basketball player with an 1180 (maybe 1280). Byerly?

entirely possible

i got a 650 on the math IIc :D :D

yea there is definitely at least 1 acceptee with a score lower than 1150, that stuff just happens.

statistically speaking, thats basically 1 out of 20000 people, which is ... basically zero chance. well all i know is that my hope just got crushed with a 1800 :(. even with really nice stats that i believe will stand out, this will surely be my downfall if dont get a better score next time.

a football player was recruited from my school with a 1250. Ranked 88/400. Everyone else that applied -- ranked 1,2,5 and 8 -- all rejected. One with a perfect 1600.

go figure

1390 isn't really bad at all since 1400 is 25 percentile. So 25% of people get below 1400. :|

i'm confused...isn't a score of 1350 in the 90th percentile across the U.S...if that is the case...wouldn't that be enough?

A 1350 is a very high score, considering only 10% of the nation scores higher than that. But a 1350 is a low score when you consider that over 75% of harvard admits do better than that. Paradox, my friend. Welcome to the world of College Admissions. ;)

question: how many times do most people take the SAT and do they only care about your highest score?

what do most people get their first try? I mean, if someone says they got a 1540, did they probably get that on their first attempt? Is getting a 1600 really unique if you have indeed, only written it once?
