Accepted after 2nd Audition?

Hi, I got rejected the mt program and I am planning on auditioning next year. However, I’ve been reading that the chances of getting accepted after 2nd time is slim to none. I wanted to know if anyone knows first hand if this is true and if anyone after the 2nd time has gotten accepted???

Did you get a callback? Did you get waitlisted? Even with those, the odds are small. How much do you want to put you life on hold?

Well this year you had to submit a video audition. I got a call back from that video but after my in person audition I was rejected.

From the little I know, I think the chances are small if you didn’t get an in-person call back. Probably small even if you did. But who am I to tell you to not follow your dreams. If it were me, or my kid though, I’d say move on.

What would happen if you didn’t make it? Would you be happy with another degree from Pace?
(FYI - I had a friend that was rejected from MT at Pace and auditioned again as a sophomore. He didn’t make it but was accepted into another program and ended up transferring. He is super happy now, but just something to think about)

Thanks! If I were to not make it again I’ll probably transfer somewhere else. But, this yr while majoring in Communications I plan on taking more vocal lessons and finally taking dance lessons to prepare.

Make sure that you can REALLY bring something new to your audition. Remember that your audition record from your first pass will still be in Pace’s Acceptd system (i.e., your original audition video and notes from your first in-person audition). With that in mind, It’s my personal opinion that you would need to be able to show tremendous growth.

You’re completely right about growing! I plan on taking dance lessons and cont to build my acting and vocal skills. Also, I’ve become healthier and have lost 30 lbs so I’m determined to grow into a healthy well rounded performer.
