Does someone have a clear idea of when and how we are supposed to apply for housing?
Do you guys think opting for the meal plan is a good idea?
You apply after you send in your tuition deposit. Log into your myFIT account and it will be under the student tab.
I’m not going to get the meal plan because I don’t eat meat and I like to make my own food. I guess it depends on personal preference and if you like/dont mind to cook all the time.
Also just a PSA to anyone reading this, I’m applying for housing but I will be bringing my ESA dog. She’s about 8 pounds, really sweet, and trained. I’m looking for a roommate who lovesss dogs and would like to have a comfort dog in the dorm without having to do all the work of caring for the dog. I’m going to be completely honest and tell you that she does shed, but not that much (it’s not noticeable) plus her hair is short. I’ll have a ton of lint rollers on deck just in case. She’s potty trained but has her accidents when she’s excited (thankfully the floor is tile and not carpet lol) but I have so many cleaning sprays for that you would never notice. She barely barks, which is good for a little dog.
I’m glad FIT is letting me bring her. I have terrible anxiety and this really helps. However, I just want a roommate that loves dogs as much as I do. I, by all means, do NOT want to annoy anyone. I know how some people can be about dogs.

I’m trying to get a single room because I have a severe gluten intolerance and I need to prepare my own food away from cross contamination. If that isn’t possible I am looking for a roommate who either has Celiac Disease as well, or a gluten intolerance so we will both be able to avoid cross contamination.

Apparently Spring Applicants do not get to select their room types. Today I was placed into a CoEd hall traditional triple room. I emailed them because of my dietary restrictions that isn’t going to work for me. I hope I’m allowed to change.
That’s funny because I saw that I was put in Alumni Apartment. Not sure if it’s a quad but I don’t mind what they gave me. I’m assuming they don’t give you a choice because it’s for the Spring.
what is everyone’s major? mine is Fashion Design.
