So, I was accepted today and my status page says this:

Your Admission Summary
Level: Freshman
Major: Computer Science & Engineering
School: Interdisciplinary Program

Isn't interdisciplinary program for cultural studies and not related at all to CSE? What should I do?

No, CSE is indeed within the Interdisciplinary Program:
2008-09 UCI Catalogue: Interdisciplinary Studies

Interdisciplinary simply means your major belongs to two or more school. For CSE, you're in both the School of Computer Science and School of Engineering.

weird

Your Admission Summary

Major:
School: Freshman
Computer Engineering
The Henry Samueli School of Engineering

CE and CSE are 2 different majors

ahh i see thanks evera

So is Interdisciplinary Comp Sci w/ Eng different from EECS? How so?

Here's an explanation of the CS&E major from the ICS web site:

undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering @ the bren school of information and computer sciences

And here's its listing in the School of Engineering:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering

Basically, when Information and Computer Science became a separate school (it once was a department in the School of Engineering), they decided to keep CS&E a joint (or interdisciplinary) degree. Computer Engineering stayed in the School of Engineering.
