Anyone get into CE at UCI?

I just got in (after 31 days of waiting) into UCI. Unfortunately they switched my major on me, saying that now I’m on ICS (Information & Computer Science) which I clearly don’t want (no, it was not my secondary major).

This is their excuse:

At our school, computer engineering has been
placed in both Information and Computer and
Science (ICS) and in the School of Engineering.
It is the same program but in different school.
Thank You.

Anyone have this happen to them too? If anyone could clarify just what they mean by “computer engineering has been placed in both Information and Computer and Science (ICS) and in the School of Engineering” that’d be helpful also.

<p>Hopefully I won't have to turn down UCI because they refuse to let me into my major of choice...</p>
