Accepted both CSULB and CSUF admission by mistake. Must choose one. Returning student.

I screwed up and accepted both CSULB and CSUF. I also applied for financial aid at both. I need to tell one I’m not going before they figure out. I assume that wouldn’t be good.

I previously attended CSUF for one year and earned 21 unites in Comm Studies. I had transferred from community college and finished pretty much everything lower devision there.

I don’t know what classes from CSUF will meet requirements in the major at CSULB, if any. Ive gone through the information on CSULB’s portal and it says my transfer credit hasn’t all been reviewed yet. I’m having a hard time deciding how much work I would have left there using their website. It is a bit late to ask someone at CSULB I realize. I emailed CSULB comm department counseling and was only told this stuff would be gone over at orientation in mid July. I am worried that by then it will be too late and the schools may remind my admission.

I want to pick the one where I can finish the quickest. I am having a hard time figuring that out.

Drop the SIR at one of the schools and don’t look back. If they ask, just say that you had a change of plans or lie and say that you got off the wait-list at your top choice. I would definitely choose CSUF because it would be easier to transfer your credits. Both are fine schools btw

finish quickest… I imagine that’s a toss up but, I’d look at the courses still available as an indicator of how challenging it is to get classes. I’d also talk to existing students about their experience getting the classes they need, when they need them.
