accepted/ denied uf transfer fall 2011

scgirl, if I were you, I’d just call them. Emails can be good, because they can respond at their convenience, but it can also be bad to email them something important because sometimes emails get opened, and whoever opens it can forget to email you back if they get busy. I’ve had much better success calling my program when I needed help or had to find something out.

What preview sessions are the accepted students going to? I will be at the one on June 6th.

Ufhopeful,
I’m going to the June 20-21 orientation. Unfortunately, that’s the only day I was allowed to sign up for haha.
Anyone else going to the high school/AA orientation?

My Preview session is on May 6th, the day after my last final; it was either that one or the very last session.

I wish I could go to the May 6th one, but my program has a separate orientation we have to attend and we could only go in June! I am taking a summer class and it’s going to interfere, but there was nothing I could do.

blehh why hasn’t anyone heard anythinggg :(

Accepted for Fall 2011!

College of Journalism & Communications

transfer from CC with a 3.26 GPA

@Gvillebound that’s awesome congrats! Do you mind me asking if you have volunteer work or anything extra that you added to your app? My GPA is only a 3.3, so I thought I was going to have a hard time but you have given me some hope! :)

Lshackelford91: thanks! & while I was at CC I had an internship at a local radio station. Was with them for almost 2 years. Hope you get a reply soon!

@Gvilleboud, do you know around what time it changed? Do you think it was over night?
And of course, major congrats to you :)

Do any out-of-state students get the result? I’m oos and finished the application abt two months ago, but I haven’t got any results… I’m thinking if they will review my application after they accept enough students from cc…

Wow gvillebound! And that’s a limited access major too, congrats!

I’ve been following the forum for a while and thought I should share this with you:

Applied to CLAS (major: economics) on Feb 9 and finally got accepted last Wednesday. Cumulative GPA 3.67 and 4.0 pre-professional. Orientation Friday May 27.

I do believe they update their system around 9-10 pm. Good luck to those who are still waiting for their decision.

Thanks guys! @welleriizzzle it happened in the afternoon-night hours. Good luck to you :)

hey everyone,

I applied back in September will be finished with my AA this Summer, I’m applying for the drawing/painting/visual arts studies (they gave me three choices to go into) for the art department. They told me I would hear back last week, but still nothing, I’m a bit worried haha, who wouldnt be? I have a 4.0 (i’ve never made a B) and i had to send in a portfolio which turned out great in my opinion, anyway I wanted to share with everyone since i’m glad i found some people that are/were in the same boat as me, i will keep everyone updated. congrats to those who got in. wish me luck! GO gators!

hey everyone. I just came across this thread, and I must say this is great information. I was wondering if anyone got accepted into CLAS for political science? If so, what were your stats? Like everyone else, I’ve been checking every few hours. Glad to see I’m not alone! I have a 3.7 and a 4.0 in my major from UCF. Any thoughts on how that stacks up? I know preference is given to CC transfers… Im in the honors college at UCF, so I have a feeling they’re going to tell me to stay where I am. The world won’t end if I don’t get in, but I’d sure like to. Good luck everyone!

hi again yall. the site finally updated to say that my app has been referred to my college for final decision. so here’s hoping i’ll find out really soon and the rest of you too. and j3skahj3skah, i’m happy to see that someone else is applying in the arts. you sound like you have a fantastic shot, good luck! i cannot wait until we all hear from them [this is killing me]

This process will be the causation of my insanity!!!

My application was FINALLY sent to the college for a final decision. Since we already know they’re looking over the applications, does anyone know how much longer you have to wait (or at least an estimate) after it’s been referred to receive a notice?

@danni, it’s been like 3-4 weeks for me :</p>

Hmm… it’s been 8 months for me. Very aggravating.
