Hi Shelby012; I just went ahead and checked my degree audit and it doesn’t show any of my grades at all. Does your degree audit shows your courses and grades? Mine just shows all the courses as “missing” and doesn’t reflect any credits from CC. However, it does show that I have met the university’s Language requirements… confused

HopelessGator, I applied to economics through CLAS and got accepted two weeks ago. I believe the core courses required are macroeconomics and microeconomics. However, by the time I submitted my application (Feb 9) I had both macro and micro completed plus statistics, calculus, and financial accounting. I believe the last three courses are NOT required for CLAS but for economics through the school of business. The reason I took them was because I wasn’t sure in the past about what path I wanted to take (economics through CLAS or “business economics”).

My pre-professional GPA is 4.0 (I had A’s in all those courses previously mentioned) which I think was a decisive factor when my application was being evaluated. I remember talking to an academic advisor from CLAS a while ago, I asked her to give me her opinion on what my chances were. She looked through my transcripts and after noticing all those pre-professional courses I’ve taken, she said that I had a very “vivid chance” at getting accepted to UF.

@Shelby - a few people on here have confirmed as long as you meet the requirements for Warrington you WILL be accepted

@Kittn - no they do not follow the May 1st date

It’s a huge pain that they do not follow the may 1st date. But I went ahead and called Kevin Austen, the undergrad advisor for theatre-my major- as had been suggested on this forum. I had emailed him previously to check up on my materials but hadn’t received a response so I phoned him instead of emailing again. I’m sorry so many of you cannot get through to the people whom you are trying to reach. That’s so frustrating. I left him a message (direct number for him is posted on the site) and he returned my call today (while I was in a lecture of course…I ran out). He informed me that all of my materials are there so not to worry and that he is still doing advanced registration so he would not be viewing the transfer applications until 2 weeks from now or the last week of classes. Cool…

Is anyone else worried about where they are going to live? Accepted or still waiting? (espesh still waiting…)

At least I have an update [stuck in limbo]

@thedreadedwait and @ rioteeru thanx for telling me about Mrs sain . I too kept calling her bcus Iv been accepted to CLAS but wanted to change to ChemE and I got tired of waiting for an email/phone call so I made the 3-4 hour trip and talked to her in person n she solved my problems albeit the long 3 hour wait because of all other chemE trying to register, prospective student, etc

I just checked my status and found out, to my surprise, that I am now conditionally accepted. I did not even need to appeal my decision, instead I talked to an advisor today about my situation and they reversed my decision. If you are a Political Science applicant I suggest you check your status it may have changed. Best of luck to everyone who has yet to hear a reply.

Hey HopelessGator; if you don’t mind me asking… under which conditions did they accept you? I have a feeling I’m going to end up in the same boat as you…

I need to complete the two courses I am missing over the summer.

I believe you said your college didn’t offer those courses… so you will be completing them at UF, right?

hopelessgator… how did you approach the advisor? I was denied and I am polysci from the george washington university and I feel like I got screwed over. Please let me know because I am going to call too now!

No, actually I am going to complete online through Santa Fe Community College. I believe you are not allowed to complete the courses at UF if you are only conditionally accepted, to be able to use their resources I think you have to be officially accepted.

HopelessGator, would one of the classes you need happen to be CPO 2001/comparative politics?

Is anyone applying for the Department of mathematics at Uf?
My sister applied on febraury and she has not received the final decision.

I applied at the end of feb to the liberal arts and science school and am still waiting for an answer…i hate having to wait and having no idea when i’ll find out! its killing me!

@ UFHopefull, yes one of the classes I need to complete is Comparative Politics CPO 2001.

@ Jordan, I called CLAS asking to speak with someone in regards to my application being denied. Eventually they referred me to Lou Powers who happens to be an academic advisor. I explained my situation to Ms. Powers and also clarified that the only reason I was denied was due to fact that my application did not indicate I would be able to complete the required courses by the fall term. Once that was confirmed, I asked for my application to be reconsidered by CLAS due to new evidence that was not available during the initial decision. Within a matter of hours my GatorLink status was changed from denied to accepted. So, if I were you Jordan I would call UF immediately and ask to speak with an academic advisor. If that is not successful then I would appeal the decision.

I just checked online and I am accepted to UF!! My GPA is 3.6 from a CC, Im super pumped to be a member of the Gator Nation!

Congrats to all so far. I think most people have heard back!

Looks as if math, chemical engineering, and nuclear engineering are the few with no answers so far! Anyone know someone in those fields who has heard back?

ditto. congrats congrats to everyone accepted!

@rioteeru you’re not alone waiting. theatre hasn’t heard back either…but it’s possible im the only person who applied. i just can’t believe the advisor told me it would be another 2 weeks until he viewed the transfer apps. i mean, i had him on the phone…couldn’t he have just glanced at it then? hahah. this wait sucks big time it’s putting my life on hold

I haven’t heard back yet either. I’m a computer engineering transfer. I emailed them last week and Monday they told me I’ll know in 2 weeks.
