accepted/ denied uf transfer fall 2011

Accepted! So stoked! 3.8 GPA, somewhere around a 3.9 for pre-prof GPA. Accepted to the College of Engineering for Fall 2011 as a Civil Engineering major. Still have some courses in progress and others to take during the summer, so my acceptance is with conditions though

Last night I checked my status at around 8pm or so… it still said that my application had been referred to my college blah blah blah… then I just checked again 5 minutes ago and almost got a heart attack:

**Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Fall 2011 term has been approved!

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon, and welcome you to the Gator Nation!

OMG I’m so excited and so happy I don’t have to go to FAMU!!! LOL

I just got an email from the bschool says that they need the syllabus for my pre-professional courses before they make decision, did any of you guys get this email?

I didn’t get that email, probably because I was so paranoid about everything that I sent them in along with all my transcripts and application… but honestly never heard of that email before

This is so annoying. I applied in August and still no reply. If I get denied, I’ll be super frustrated. If I got into an ivy league I better get into UF considering that I’m an in state resident. For those of you who do not have a decision yet, I feel your pain.

Part of me is getting so anxious to the point where I’m questioning “am I on the right page?” when I check my status haha. This wait is getting ridiculous. At least the consensus seems to be the latest being May for most of the colleges…which isn’t TOO far away, assuming they mean the beginning of it. I don’t know, I’ve been told so many inaccurate time lines that I don’t believe much of what UF says anymore. It’s just been stuck at “referred” for so long that I’m going to think I’m dreaming when it actually changes (with this wait I’m starting to feel like it never will!).

Accepted to College of Business for Fall 2011!! Checked my status this morning and it hadn’t updated. Checked again when I got home from work at about 10 PM and it changed to accepted!

I applied for Information Systems with about a 3.8 GPA and 3.8 pre-prof GPA coming from a FL CC with an AA degree.

UForBust- When did you apply?

I haven’t been checking my status lately so I wouldn’t worry about it and was absolutely shocked when I received the letter of acceptance in the mail today from UF. I got accepted to the Department of Communications for Journalism if anyone’s waiting for that. I also had a pretty low GPA with only a 3.3 overall(though I had a 3.9 in the prerequisites) so I was honestly amazed I got in. So if you’re worried about getting in with a slightly low GPA let my story give you some hope!

Ahh! I know I’m pretty late to this thread, but I’m so nervous about this!! I as well check the website multiple times a day…I just have so much riding on this decision!
I applied to CLAS as a psych major from UCF. 4.0, all my pre-reqs completed. (Or will be this summer)
BUT, I applied super last minute (Probably the night of Feb 28th…) and all of my transcripts weren’t in until maybe the end of March, maybe even early April. Also, this is my first year in college, and a lot of my credits come from AP/IB scores, and I won’t even have 60 until summer. And I don’t have an AA. I know they definitely prefer 2 year CC students with AA’s. They only have a semester’s worth of grades to judge me from! But I really don’t want to wait another year!
It is driving me crazy, but since I’m probably one of the last ones to apply, I probably won’t hear for a while! Ahhhhhhhh

guitr, I applied around the end of November and sent my final transcript in January.

I applied mid-February and I just got accepted into CLAS- maybe it’s alphabetical? My last name starts with a B

I applied on Feb 24th, my application didn’t make it to my college until April 13th and I got accepted on April 22nd. My last name starts with V… so I don’t think it’s alphabetical. I just think that some colleges have more demand than others that’s why some people have found out sooner than others idk

Still waiting :(

@dannix3 I am still waiting too! :frowning:
I feel like everyone is finally starting to find out but no word for me yet!

You guys aren’t alone. I feel like they forgot about me… :/

Hang in tight there guys!!! We all understand your pain. Have you called to your department to check on the status of your application? I bugged those people almost everyday and then all the sudden my status changed in just a week.

Has anybody received their official acceptance letter in the mail? how long after your status changed online did you receive it?

Kttn, which college did you apply to? I’m nervous that if I call them over and over they’re going to just reject me because I’m annoying. I’ve called them so many times! I can’t tell if they’re rude because they remember me or because they receive millions of calls a day…

I called to day (I’m applying to the college of aerospace engineering) and they told me I was on hold because I was from a four year state university and that they would make the final decision depending on how many spots are left after all the community college students get in.
Does anybody know how this works? Do all university students’ application get on hold or do they thin the herd a little and put some on hold and reject other students?

maybegator, I applied to the college of architecture. I think the people are just rude period, not because they remember you, but because everyfreakingbody calls them everyday… I still call with new questions every other day, I’m so confused with everything that needs to get done once your accepted…

@kingqaz, the FL CC transfer students have priority over everybody else; what means is each college starts looking at the FL CC students first, once they’re done picking people they move to everybody else, with FL students having priority; then out of State and International students at the bottom of the list -At least that’s what I was told during one of my 32-million phone calls to the arch. college.
