Having a 4.0 and an A.A. from a Florida community college and getting into UF has nothing to do with luck. Grats Afleming.

Gatorgirl, don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll get in. I’ve just got tired of being stressed about it, and I’m assuming I’ll get in. If I don’t, then I’ll worry about what to do.

i love it, steel88. that’s how we’ve got to think or we’ll go crazy, right? it’s kinda just gonna be whatever it will be. we gotta go with the flow and accept the timing as perfection ha

That’s exactly how I feel. I’m just so tired of putting in all this effort of caring that it’s to the point where it doesn’t even feel like I’ve even applied there (if that makes any sense). It’s just been so long of a wait that I feel like I’m just looking at a page that never changes, not a page where a decision will eventually be posted. I hope all us waiters get in, we definitely deserve it.

Been reading this thread for a long time and I thought I’d chime in. I’m an OOS transfer student applying for CLAS and I have yet to hear from them. I literally check the UF Admissions site like every 10min only to see the same message over and over… ugh!

Best of luck to everyone here! like gatorgirl210 said, I think we all deserve it!

This thread is dying out! Many of us are just in limbo still… I am starting to think I wont find out until the day of June 15th. This whole time I was hoping they would let me know sooner but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.
I feel like it has been a while since I have heard someone get accepted (or even denied for that matter!)… it seems like the process is at a stand still for now.

I have spoke to some other universities and they seem to be completely shocked that UF students are still waiting… Someone at UCF told me that UF “plays by their own rules and they always have”.

@gatorgirl I completely understand what you mean when you say it doesnt feel like you have even applied. I feel the same way!

Just try to hang in there guys! Hopefully it wont be too much longer!

Agreed Lshackelford91. It has become apparent to me that UF has never had a friendly admissions staff or system, which is unfortunate. They certainly play by their own rules, regardless of rationality or logic. They don’t really seem to care much about the applicants, and the whole process seems completely random. My dad as well as some other adults mentioned that during their college years UF was just as ridiculous with admissions as they are now (and back then UF wasn’t even a “big deal” type of school!). They have just always thought very highly of themselves for some reason. I mean don’t get me wrong, UF is a great school, which is obviously why I want to go there. But I definitely think the staff as well as some of the other people there need to calm down their ego’s, and the adviser’s need to actually put forth an effort to show that they care and are there to assist when needed.

I’m just tired of this wait. Now that I’m out of school there’s really nobody to talk to about this, especially now that this forum is dying.

I haven’t heard back from the mysterious office of UF either. I’m already enrolled at UM considering that it was my backup school.

Gatorgirl: what is your backup school? And what’s everyone else’s back up choice?

I had to enroll at UM by may 1st so I didn’t have any option but to put down my deposit just in case I wasn’t accepted to UF. I still believe the people are completely rude at UF and should not be working there under no circumstances.

Sabrina that sucks, it really bugs me how long they wait too, should make finding somewhere to live interesting. Not to mention we’ll have the last pick of classes.

Honestly I don’t have a backup school. UF is the only school that doesn’t require me to have Physics and Organic Chemistry to apply. So if I don’t get in for the fall, then I sit at my community college for 2 more semesters then apply across the country to 10 schools or so.

My backup school is UCF. I have already been accepted I just cant do anything about UCF in case I get accepted to UF. If UF denies me then I will have to move and find a new place and a new job in less than a month. Its CRAZY! Thank goodness UCF doesnt care when I put down the deposit but I would have to take a few more classes before attending UCF so I have enrolled for those classes just in case thats the route I have to take.

Sabrina, I am also going to apply to UCF and FSU (eh…) It’s not too bright on my part I guess, but I actually haven’t applied to any other school yet. I was expecting a sooner response from UF than this, so I didn’t want to waste money on application fees if I got accepted. I probably need to do that soon though, I just wish UF would hurry up! I think I’m going to call Monday and ask what the hold up is still about.

My application was officially updated today that they have received all of my final grades, so they have no other reason to put off a decision. But then again, it’s UF, so I guess they’re going to take as long as they please.

Hey everyone! I’ve been following you guys for awhile and I just wanted you guys to know that I feel your pain! I applied in March for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and I just called admission last week and they gave me the same respond about how their admission decision was delayed until June 15th, but mostly likely that I will hear something before then.

It really sucks because I’m still in limbo with my decision and what to do in the fall!

But everyone Keep your heads up and stay focus this summer with whatever you have planned! =)

June 15th is their deadline that they have to get to us by, from what I’ve read. I’m just sad it’s the weekend and we have to wait till Monday to start hoping again. On a side note, the requested my spring grades, I didn’t send them because they weren’t my final grades though.

Steel, I sent in my grades and was hoping for a decision to be made. I e-mailed them to emilie who I guess is in charge of CALS. But still no decision, and I got all A’s in really tough courses so I’m disappointed. I would assume if you’re grades were requested they wanted to make a decision on your application.

I don’t know how many of you are applying to engineering, but I called the MSE department last month and they told me that the deadline the university gave them was May 17th. Hopefully, it won’t be too many days after that I heard back. As far as you Agriculture college majors, I hear your pain…
