My DC was accepted EA. Meets the requirements for at least Deans scholarship. College counselor thought possible Presidential. But no scholarship was offered in admissions portal. Have also checked e-mail…nothing. Is it done or might one still be offered?
Based on other conversations in CC, it appears that Fordham wants to assess the RD applicants first, before confirming most of the scholarships.
I have to correct my statement after reading Fordham’s scholarship page.

Below is copied verbatim:
Dean’s Scholarship: Awards begin at $15,000 and increase based on a student’s financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA and/or CSS Profile. Typically, recipients are among the top 10% of all admitted students, have earned an A average in a competitive curriculum, and have scored above 1490 (super-scored SAT) or 34 (super-scored composite ACT). Notification is made at the time of admission.
For Presidential Scholarship: April 1 notification
Wow, the Dean’s scholarships have got much more stingy this year. Last year my D18 was offered $38K purely as merit, not based on need (though she went elsewhere in the end). Looks like they are spreading the money more widely, but it no longer looks like a good deal when the sticker price is over $70K. I’m not sure if there are a few more Presidential scholarships on offer instead?
I believe that they only give 6 Presidential scholarships since 2017. When I compared the net price calculator (including need based aid), they’re estimated COA is competitive and does not assume that the parent needs to take a loan to pay the cost.
I need to be more precise on my previous comment, I made the comparison for student that is eligible for the at least Dean’s scholarship. If you’re not qualified, I assume that the financial aid won’t be that good since Fordham only able to fully meet 30% of students.
i have a friend who attends fordham. she was admitted EA and didn’t receive merit aid until january
