A Few Financial Aid Questions

1) Does the Dean's Scholarship increase with increases in tuition? For instance, if tuition this year is $40,000, and in 4 years it's $50,000, will the Dean's scholarship increase proportionately to cover these costs?

2) Are admittees still being reviewed for NMSF/Presidential Scholarships? I was admitted early action and I received the notification of my award package in late January, but I have not heard anything since. Is there any chance of me being able to obtain these, particularly the NMSF, if I did not receive it upon admission? (I am a finalist currently)

3) Does anyone know anything about the Jesuit scholarships?

Thanks a lot.

1.) Tuition won’t increase nearly that dramatically. However, I do not believe the Dean’s Scholarship increases with tuition.

2.) Presidential Scholarships have not yet been awarded. I believe that happens in late March/early April. Other scholarships are will be awarded after the RD round has been processed and Fordham has a chance to assess its admitted student pool. However, I am not sure if this extends to the Semifinalist scholarships. I suggest calling Fordham and having them listed as your 1st choice school with National Merit.

3.) To be awarded with Presidential Scholarships.

Dean’s scholarships do not increase with tuition. Only scholarships that cover a specific college expense, such as, tuition, room and board, or books, increase as the costs of these increase. So presidential, NMSF, and any other full tuition programs will increase.
