I was recently accepted through UChicago's Early Action. I'm hoping to go be put into South Campus for my freshman year dorm, but I know that even though it's quite big, it fills up fast. Would it be wise to wait until April 1st (day after many of my colleges release decisions) to submit my deposit? I applied to a few other schools as well. Will South be filled up by the time I submit my deposit?
Thanks!

I have same question here.
BTW, do we need turn in our mid year reprot or just the final one in May?
Thansk!

Paulhuang: I think just the final one in may.

Desiderat/Paulhuang: in terms of timing, I’d estimate it as follows:

95% chance to get into dorm of your choice if you deposit right now.
Drops to about 85% day of decisions, and is down to maybe 40% one week after decisions.

I personally submitted my deposit several weeks after RD decisions came out and got the dorm/wing of my choice (I asked for Max Palevsky west to be closer to the gym Ratner - you can specifically request the wing in a comments section somewhere, maybe it was in the who do you want to room with part.).

Thanks for the info.!
