I know of one student who received an acceptance from the honors college already. I'm not sure why she did and so many others were deferred. I mean, from what I hear she's an excellent student --4.0, valedictorian, musician, etc.-- so that may be why. Not sure. I understand she got a very nice and impressive-looking letter from them. She applied by the early notification deadline. That's the only person I've heard that's gotten an acceptance so far.

huh, that's weird.

I was accepted by both UO and CHC in December, although the latter's letter came about three weeks after the former's.

Idk if I'm attending though. Everyone keeps telling me merit aid isn't great here.

theredsmileyface...if you are from colorado won't you also be considered for the WUE scholarship?

Aquividens -- I have two kids at CHC this year, a frosh and a senior. They both knew quite a few students who applied but did not get accepted to CHC. According to the website, the GPA midrange of accepted students is 3.9 - 4.0 and the midrange SAT scores are 1320 - 1410. Regarding early decision, I do know of at least a couple students last year who were accepted to CHC in December. Neither of my two kids applied early.

My daughter is waiting, waiting, waiting to hear from CHC. She's a hopeful transfer student, currently a freshman at Southern OR U. She has a 4.0 from high school, and so far at SOU too. Her SAT was 1410 (2150 out 2400).

She didn't apply anywhere else. If CHC doesn't work out, she'll stay at SOU for one more year and apply to some private colleges for her junior year. But starting CHC next fall is by far her preference. (And mine, for her.)

Haha, University of Oregon... that's not a bad school but most of us here in Oregon are trying to get away from all the Oregon schools XD

Not most. Most students, by a huge percentage, stay in state and attend Oregon schools. But good luck getting to where you want to go.

Does anyone know if the RD acceptances for CHC will be rolling or come at a certain date?

On the subject of merit aid not being great, does anyone know how common it is for U of O to let out-of-state students attend at in-state rates?

I'm not sure about that, Illinois Dad. It's not something I've heard spoken of often in relation to UO.

On my status website it says that my CHC decision letter was mailed a week ago (March 16) There's no sign of it here. I live in So Cal.

Jenny, was it on Duckweb where you saw the mailing date? I checked my daughter's status and while she was accepted to OU sometime ago, the CHC status still says "decision in progress".

I got accepted for Poli Sci!

'rentof2:

My duckweb page for CHC says "Decision Letter Mailed", and the status date says March 16. Nothing in the mail today either.

Thanks for the info, jenny. My D checked her status again today and it still says "decision in progress". She called UO admissions and they said it wasn't necessarily a problem since they were still entering status updates. She's going to call the CHC office later on and see if they have any more information. I hope your letter arrives soon.

Am I supposed to get something after the acceptance letter?
