Accepted into Rutgers but I want to change schools?

So I applied for the Rutgers School of Nursing and Pharmacy school, I got into Nursing but I was wait listed for pharmacy. So when May 1st rolled by, I just chose the Rutgers School of Nursing. But on May 7, an email came saying I got into the Rutgers pharmacy school.
1.I want to switch from nursing to pharmacy but I have no idea whether I can or not. In other words, can I switch from one school to another within the same college after decision day? Plus, college didn’t start yet (ofc) so is it possible?
2. Is my pharmacy acceptance a legit acceptance or just a fluke, since it was sent on May 7?

Thank you so much!!!

Call admissions

Do it first thing, wait list admissions have a much shorter period to respond. Try to get your deposit moved over

My son got accepted off the waiting list on may 6th . It is legit. Rutgers did not offer any aid. The whole amount (out of state) will be in the form of loans or cash. We asked Rutgers to re-review his award letter, hopefully someone at Rutgers administration will help us.

Did you get any grants or aid offered to you? I believe that aid is not transferable among different schools!

Go on your Rutgers Status page and where you got your decision, there will be a green button that says “Change Enrollment”. Click it and change your enrollment from Nursing to Pharmacy. Also, it’s legit. People on the waitlist are usually notified after decision day when the schools have a total head count of who is attending. Also ParentJRC is right, any scholarships and aid you got from Nursing isn’t transferable to Pharmacy.

You should be able to do a dean-to-dean transfer. The pharmacy program overloads & competition is fierce. Way to look at nursing: you will never starve for lack of a job. Nurses can move around anywhere. Pharmacy schedules can be demanding & on the feet all day.

Thank you all for your help! I switched to pharmacy and I’m really excited (although quite bummed about the scholarships).
