I would focus on other colleges in the meantime. Apparently Rutgers notifies waitlisted people if they’re rejected or accepted after the deadline to accept your admission, May 1, which is also the deadline for a lot of other schools too. It’d suck if you ended up not getting into RU Pharm and you had no other backup plan. :/

i also applied to albany and uconn but rutgers pharm is the only one i want to go to tbh as for deadlines, is there like an initial deposit thing to reserve your seat if you get admitted or something? like what would be the consequences of waiting until may to accept college admission? dorms? sorry for the dumb questions

ooh and kyungri from nine muses…i think :)

We’re kind of in the same boat. I applied to RU Nursing and was rejected (Not surprised, my SAT wasn’t the best :P) and it was my top choice too. :(

I am not sure what you mean by initial deposit, unless you mean the fee you have to pay if you decide to still go to Rutgers. If so, then yes I do believe so, as pretty much all schools have this.

I was sent an email today from RU and part of it talked about Housing, and the housing application will be available in February (Tomorrow already!). So I am going to assume that the earlier you apply when the application is available, the better housing you’ll get?

And yes, Kyungri from 9Muses! I love her and Sera. :D

If you want your first choice of campus, it is best to submit your housing deposit as soon as possible. Busch and College Ave are more popular than CD and Livingston, but you can only do this once you have accepted admission and paid your admissions deposit.

You can make your admissions decision as late as you want. They will not take back your admission because you waited til the deadline to submit your deposit for admission.

@kyungri
hugs that sucks I hope you get/got into your next best choice!

never mind the initial deposit thing; now that i think about it, my question doesn’t make sense xD and shoot, i really want to wait it out 'til may but then i wouldn’t be able to accept the deadline for SAS

(i think we’re allowed to accept a school and then switch over before starting the school year? so if I happen to accept admission into SAS, I would still be on the waitlist for pharm. And after may, if it turns out that I get into pharm, I can switch over from SAS to pharm).

ahaha whew! it’s cool to meet another kpop fan here C: <<playgirlz (After School fan) for a long time but used to be major sone

@rualum
im thinking of accepting SAS for now so that if I don’t get in after may, I can still transfer after two years. i heard that school to school transfers have better chances than high school undergraduates so maybe it won’t be so bad…
would you happen to know anything about the required interview?

hm i really want to get into B.E.S.T in Busch
2nd choice would be DRC but I wouldn’t want to take the mandatory class;;;

thank you both for the replies!

Sorry, I don’t know anything about that interview process.
