Loller - I got denied my admission too as a transfer student. I was told through automated messages that they weren't accepting appeals, but from actually speaking to a person, they said I should send one in after May 1st. Should I be sending my letter in as soon as possible or wait like the person had told me?

The state budget cutbacks this year, combined with larger than average high school graduating classes (for the last three years) have impacted SDSU admissions.

If you live in the area, you have a geographical advantage in admissions to SDSU. If not, all bets are off. It isn't you...it's the crazy crapshoot they call college admissions.

@2001firebird: another fellow member of college confidential already sent hers. I'm going to send mine probably tomorrow or friday. I'm thinking the sooner the better, i'm not listening to the officials anymore ;)

loller - Yeah that's what I was thinking. Just to send it in in case, cause it's not going to hurt me to write this letter. But above all, I do hope it works.

I think it's with a lot of the state schools. I got accepted into UCSD and UCSB but rejected from long beach and cal poly slo. Though I put down kineseology major for slo and psych which is impacted for long beach. But still... 3.6 gpa btw

The same thing happened to me! I was nervous about getting into UCSB because I was rejected from SDSU but I got in today. I'm from northern california.
