Accepted into UCSB - screwed up on financial aid?

I’m a CCC transfer & I recently got accepted into UCSB. I got a letter from UCI stating that some of my financial information is incorrect & I need to make some adjustments to qualify for financial aid. However, I have no idea going about doing this. I went into doing FAFSA blind, so I was positive I’d make some errors. Should I go talk to my CCC transfer counselor, and could they potentially help me fix this? I also checked UCSB’s financial aid and it seems incredibly expensive for a local in-state transfer - I would have to pay around $30k for all expenses. My household income was around $170k pre-tax, however, my dad passed away the spring semester of my freshman year, so it came down to around $90k. I would think that this would help me with financial aid, but does anyone have any input on any of this? Really lost.

A $30,000 family contribution with $90,000 income sounds about right to me.

Is your question bout UCI or UCSB?

Oh, really? So should I even bother fixing my FAFSA? Well, I got the letter from UCI so I would assume that it would be applicable to all UC’s since it’s all one application.

Your FAFSA needs to have correct information on it. If something is NOT correct…fix it.

Ah fasho. Gotcha, thank you!
