Accepted, now what?

So I know there is supposed to be an orientation sometime, but I want to go as soon as I can, such as this Monday. Can I just go and check it out, look at apartments and stuff? I live 4 hours from it.

Thanks!

Are you a freshman? If so, you will be required to live on campus next year. Just sign up for the first available orientation for your major, that is when you will register for your classes, meet with an advisor, etc.

Oh no sorry, I just got my associates. So this will be my third year.

I paid 2 days ago. I still didn’t get any sort of ID or anything. Is this supposed to happen? How many days did it take you people?

It was later the same day that my son was able to create his PID.

@jhoelscher‌ when did you pay the deposit and when did you get the e-mail (what does it say)? Can you tell me how to create the PID?

This is from the site below:

Create your Virginia Tech PID
Once you have paid your deposit and allowed three days for us to create your account, go to HokieSPA and follow the instructions to create your PID and password. After you successfully create your PID, go to HokieSPA to complete the remaining steps. If you are having problems creating your PID, check out our helpful hints.

I believe when he went into hokiespa he used the same ID he was given as part of the application process but now he was recognized as an admitted student.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.
