Just got the email from northeastern
“I am pleased to inform you that you are among a small group of waitlisted students who now have an opportunity to be offered admission to the Fall 2016 entering class at Northeastern University.”
Not completely sure if I’m going to go yet but I did get the notice so others may be getting them around this time too.
Stats are as follows
3.8 UW GPA, 35 ACT, 790 Math 2c, 750 US History, NJ

besides im sure northeastern gets enough asian kids with my stats
That doesn’t make sense though. Do you think you’re recommendation s may have been weak? How is your weighted GPA? Do you mind sharing what other schools you were accepted and rejected from? I’m trying to read into why they would reject you when you have excellent stats for even honors. It helps future applicants to know
@suzyQ7 Honestly it may have been my commonapp essay, I submitted early for northeastern and it was a little half assed. I come from a top 10 public highschool so many of my peers who also applied to northeastern may have been stronger than I was
As for schools I got accepted into Emory, UMich, GTech, and BC
Waitlisted at Cornell and Colgate
Rejected by Yale, Princeton, and Harvard
Northeastern was the only one that kinda surprised me but it was somewhere I was interested in going even if I got into better schools. It was prob my lack of showing that interest and they might have thought I was just going to go to a better school and wanted to save the room for someone else who knows haha

@suzyQ7 atm I’m prob looking towards Emory or Mich but it all depends on how much Northeastern gives me (if any at all) and thank you
